If you are still going to use one – read these safety tips (CPSC)
As your risk management professionals, our goal is to keep you safe by first “avoiding risk” (don’t get a trampoline), second “reducing risk” (follow the safety rules), and finally “transfer the risk” (buy adequate insurance). The homeowner’s insurer is concerned about neighborhood children who will naturally want to join your family on the trampoline. If these neighborhood children get hurt, well, you can guess the rest of that story, somebody has to pay, and here come the lawyers! Of course, the trampoline industry points out that the risk of death is much lower on trampolines than on bicycles or swimming pools, but I don’t know if that is any consolation to a parent of a paraplegic child. Let’s try not to find out.
We CAN insure homes in Wisconsin with trampolines!
