Phil Schmitz, CIC

Phil was born and raised in Forestville, WI, graduated from Southern Door High School, attended Spencerian College of Business, Concordia College Milwaukee, and received a Bachelors Degree from UW-Green Bay. Then studied insurance at Oberlin College, Oberlin, OH and has been a CIC, Certified Insurance Counselor since 1982. He Joined Schmitz Insurance in 1978 as a the third generation of Schmitz Insurance.

Phil has long been active in community service, rising to President of the Wisconsin Jaycees in 1987, a 10,000 member organization at the time. Currently he is involved with the Forestville-Maplewood Lions, Sturgeon Bay Noon Rotary and Sturgeon Bay KC’s.

He and his wife Ann live in Forestville and have a daughter who is married and teaching middle school in Waukesha WI. When not helping clients at Schmitz Insurance, he enjoys playing Golf, Volleyball, XC Skiing and biking the Ahnapee State Trail just blocks from his home.
